Dubai International Airport (DXB), the world’s largest hub for international passenger traffic, has unveiled a revolutionary innovation — an immigration corridor fully powered by artificial intelligence
Now travelers don’t need to take out their passport or ticket — the system identifies the passenger in advance:
🔘 Facial recognition — scanning occurs during movement
🔘 Document verification — data is verified automatically before approaching the checkpoint
🔘 Throughput — up to 10 people at a time, without delays and queues
🔘 Speed — passage takes about 14 seconds
🔘 Security — at the slightest suspicion, information is instantly transmitted to GDRFA (General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai) employees
🟢 DXB handles more than 92 million passengers per year and in 2024 for the 10th year in a row was recognized as the most the busiest airport in the world for international traffic
The project is part of the government’s “Travel Without Borders” strategy, which aims to turn Dubai into a global hub for smart and seamless air travel
💡 What does this mean for passengers?
✔️ Fewer queues — control takes seconds
✔️ No need to show your passport — data is read automatically
✔️ Greater security — suspicious cases are immediately checked by officers
✔️ The future of air travel — similar corridors may appear in other airports around the world
