The world’s largest all-electric passenger ship, the HSC Bautista C. Zorrilla, built for the operator Buquebus, has been launched at the Incat Tasmania shipyard in Australia.

The 130-meter ferry will operate between Buenos Aires and Montevideo, carrying up to 2,100 passengers and 225 vehicles.

🔋 The ship is powered entirely by batteries. Its batteries weigh approximately 275 tons, providing up to 40 MW of power.

🌿 Electric and hybrid vessels are becoming increasingly popular, and with them comes a growing need for specialists who understand energy management systems, digital controls, and green technologies.

This is a signal to prepare for a future where knowledge of electrical systems and green propulsion will become mandatory.
