One of the most common and frivolous mistakes is sending certificates or work permits without the owner’s signature.

Even if this doesn’t result in an immediate refusal, the lack of a signature always causes delays in document processing.

📌 In practice, this looks like this:
— the crewing agency is forced to verify information and return the documents.
— the package cannot be properly prepared for flag submission.
— in the worst case, the documents reach the Administration, and they are rejected.

📌 Result:
— repeated work for the seafarer
— additional burden for the crewing agency
— lost time before the contract is signed.

📌 It’s important to remember that a document without a signature is considered incomplete.

Before submitting, always check that each certificate and diploma has a clear, personal signature.

📎 Attached is an example of unsigned diplomas and certificates.
