News are circulating online that Norway will allegedly stop providing temporary protection to men from Ukraine. Let’s look at what’s officially confirmed.

๐Ÿ“Œ The Norwegian government has indeed proposed tightening the rules for new applicants โ€“ Ukrainian men of military age (18โ€“60).
This means they may no longer automatically receive collective temporary protection.

Important ๐Ÿ‘‡
โ—๏ธThis only applies to future applicants.
โ—๏ธThe changes do not affect Ukrainians already residing there.
โ—๏ธThere is no complete ban on protection โ€“ men will be able to apply through the standard asylum procedure.

The reason is the sharp increase in the number of arriving men and the strain on the asylum system.

Norwegian authorities also separately stated:
โ€” the issue of forced return of Ukrainians is not being considered.

โš ๏ธ For now, this is only a government initiative โ€“ the final decision must be approved separately.
