Answer:
A generator circuit breaker connection can be initiated under the following conditions:
· Connection request from the operator station – IAS OS;
· Load-dependent start (if the generator is in standby mode)
· A start attempt on a large load (if the generator is in standby mode)
· Busbar disconnection (if the generator is in standby mode)
· Activation of an alarm on any connected generator (if the generator is in standby mode)
If the “Connection Blocked” alarm is activated, the generator circuit breaker will not close. Connection blocking can be caused by the following conditions:
· Generator circuit breaker in local control;
· Connection blocking criteria:
1️⃣ Busbar earth switch closed;
2️⃣ Abnormal tripping of the generator circuit breaker;
3️⃣ Generator breaker not ready/available. · Internal lockout criteria (e.g., not reset after synchronization time expires).
The synchronization time expired alarm is triggered if the breaker is not closed within 90 seconds (2 seconds during a power outage).
