Travel rules to most European countries will change. Starting in the fourth quarter of 2026, citizens of visa-free countries, including Ukrainian citizens, will need to obtain a short-term entry permit in advance when entering Schengen countries for stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day period.

This concerns the implementation of the new ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System) system.

⏳The ETIAS system will become operational at the end of 2026. The exact launch date will be announced several months in advance.

ℹ️ What’s important to know now

🟠 ETIAS is not a visa;
