This record-breaking journey will require passengers to spend more than a day in the same seat.

📍The Boeing 777-300ER flight will depart from Shanghai to Buenos Aires with a two-hour technical stop in Auckland. The airline operates the same flight number and aircraft as before, meaning passengers are unlikely to disembark during the short stopover in New Zealand.

The flight will operate twice weekly, with a flight time of approximately 25 hours and 30 minutes eastbound and 29 hours westbound. This flight appears to be the longest direct commercial flight ever operated (as opposed to nonstop).

✈️China Eastern Airlines ordered 20 Boeing 777-300ER aircraft and received its first 777-300ER on September 26, 2014.

🆔 Flight number: MU745. You can start tracking its departure on December 4, 2025.
