A recent incident in one of the ports showed how important it is to take into account the actions of neighboring vessels:
🟢 A neighboring vessel passed too close and used bow thrusters. As a result, waves arose, the shore aluminum gangway on board touched the hull and was damaged
❗️ Always evaluate the maneuvers of neighboring vessels when mooring, and also maintain communication with the watchman at the gangway
❗️ Check the reliability and location of the shore gangways
❗️ If strong waves occur, immediately report and record the situation.
❗️ Take photos and file a Damage Report immediately after the fact.
Even minor damage during port operations can lead to delays and additional costs. Prevention and vigilance of the crew are the key to safety
