As of September 3, 2025, Krakow-Balice International Airport has become the first in Poland to abolish the 100 ml rule for liquids in hand luggage

✅ What has changed:

🟦 You can now carry liquids in packages of up to 2 liters
🟦 You no longer need to take out electronics and cosmetics during inspection.
🟦 The inspection has become faster thanks to new CT scanners (computer tomography of baggage).

10 modern 3D scanners have been installed that “digitally unpack” baggage, thanks to which the procedure takes about 30% less time: even during peak hours, inspection takes a few minutes, and the old equipment has been left only in reserve

✈️ The European Commission has allowed the lifting of restrictions on liquids at those airports where new scanners have been installed. Krakow is the first in Poland, but other EU airports will soon join it. Similar innovations are already being implemented in Vilnius and Kaunas (Lithuania)
