Until September 30, 2025, Ukrainians with PESEL UKR could use Ukrainian driver’s licenses without replacing them with Polish ones
But from October 1, 2025, Ukrainian drivers who have been in Poland for more than 180 days are required to exchange their national licenses for Polish ones!
❗️ Otherwise, there is a fine of 2,000 zlotys (approximately 22,800 UAH)
To exchange, you need:
🟢 Ukrainian license + sworn translation,
🟢 passport and residence document (PESEL UKR/card),
🟢 proof of residence,
🟢 medical certificate from a Polish doctor,
🟢 payment receipts (~225 zlotys).
The application review period is up to 30 days. Retaking the exam is usually not required
