Visa to the USA (B1/B2)

• B1 — business visits: negotiations, conferences, short-term contracts
• B2 — tourism, visiting relatives, medical treatment, and personal trips

This visa does not grant the right to work in the USA and is used only for temporary visits.

Conditions for obtaining:

• The visa is intended for short-term trips to the USA
• Does not grant the right to employment or long-term study
• Can be used for entry for interviews, medical examinations, visiting relatives, tourism, and participation in events

Visa validity period:

• Usually issued for 10 years with multiple entry rights
• Maximum stay per trip is up to 180 days
• The length of stay is decided by the CBP officer at the US border

Required documents:

• Passport (valid for at least 6 months beyond the intended return date)
• Photo (according to US requirements)
• Cover letter explaining the purpose of the trip
• Documents confirming:
  • Financial solvency (bank statements, employment certificate)
  • Ties to home country (property, family, job)
  • Travel plan (if available)
• (Optional) Invitation from a US resident or hotel reservation
