Zelensky named the first countries with which Ukraine will begin to implement the rules on multiple citizenship: Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic and the Baltic countries.
🇨🇦In the future, it is planned to expand the list – among the priority countries is Canada
What will this give to Ukrainians?
🟦 Keeping a Ukrainian passport when receiving another citizenship;
🟦 More opportunities to work and live abroad;
🟦 Simplification of legal and everyday procedures for the diaspora.
📌 The law was signed by the President on July 15, 2025 and will enter into force in six months, giving the Cabinet of Ministers time to prepare an implementation mechanism and approve the list of partner countries
