Japanese operator K Line has signed a long-term contract to supply biomethane (bio-LNG) for its cargo vessels.

The company expects to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 60,800 tonnes per year. Bio-LNG is ISCC-EU certified and complies with EU renewable energy directives.

⏺With the switch to bio-LNG, changes to vessel fueling and operation procedures are possible, and routes will gradually become greener and more environmentally friendly.

K Line plans to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. The gradual transition to bio-LNG is a key step towards this goal.
