LEGO will release a new model of the Ane Maersk container ship, one of the world’s most advanced vessels powered by alternative fuels. The set is dedicated to the dual-fuel container ship, capable of using green methanol, and reflects the industry’s commitment to reducing emissions.
🚢 The Ane Maersk is a container ship with a capacity of approximately 16,000 TEUs, built in South Korea and scheduled to enter service in 2024. The vessel is the first major member of Maersk’s methanol-powered container ship series and operates on the Asia-Europe route.
A distinctive feature of the design is the superstructure, which is offset toward the bow, allowing for increased container capacity and streamlining port operations.
🧩 LEGO Version
The collectible model consists of over 1,500 pieces and replicates key elements of the real ship—the container deck, bridge, and superstructure. The set is scheduled for release on March 1, 2026.
This isn’t the first collaboration between LEGO and Maersk—the companies previously released a model of a Triple-E class vessel.
