The UK Maritime Pilots Association (UKMPA) has released guidance and a poster on the changes to SOLAS Regulation V/23 adopted at IMO MSC 110

🔘 Changes aim to improve safety and establish uniform requirements
Transitional implementation dates:
🖤 New installations – from 1 January 2028
🖤 Existing installations on SOLAS ships – from first survey after 1 January 2029
🖤 Non-SOLAS ships – from 1 January 2030
IMO recommends early implementation of the regulations to improve safety and ease the transition. UKMPA regards them as best practice and recommends using the poster to prepare crews in advance
