Most seafarers have the same questions before applying for a Polish Seaman’s Passport. We’ve compiled the most frequently asked ones and prepared answers so you can understand the entire application process.
1️⃣ In which cities can I apply for a Polish Seaman’s Passport?
If you choose to submit your documents remotely, you can apply for the passport in
Warsaw and Szczecin.
If you apply in person, you must visit the Gdynia or Szczecin captain’s office.
2️⃣ Is it possible to complete the entire application process in one day?
Yes, it is possible.
If you apply remotely, you will definitely be able to complete all the application stages within one day and will usually be free in the afternoon.
If you apply in person at the Gdynia or Szczecin captain’s office, please
take into account possible queues. Sometimes people get stuck in line 24 hours in advance, so it’s best to plan ahead.
3️⃣ How long does it take to process a Polish seaman’s passport?
Currently, the document processing time is approximately 1–1.5 months.
