Currently, the functionality for verifying diplomas after exchanging them through Diia is not implemented. Confirmation is only possible by submitting documents to the Maritime Administration or a Maritime Service branch.
🪪 Why do diplomas with QR codes need to be exchanged?
Documents with QR codes are subject to mandatory exchange. Exchange is completed by submitting your documents for exchange to the Maritime Administration. During exchange, the validity periods and original dates of the documents remain unchanged. Please note that passing the CES test is mandatory for diploma exchange.
🆔 Is a Ukrainian seafarer’s passport required for document renewal?
A Ukrainian seafarer’s passport is currently not a prerequisite for confirming or assigning work documents. Confirmation of service is carried out solely based on entries in the seafarer’s service record book.

What is the actual processing time for an application to renew documents through “Diyu,” if 7 days is stated?
The actual processing time for applications is currently approximately 1-1.5 months. Delays are possible due to the energy situation in Ukraine and military operations.
