Now, before traveling to the country, you must fill out an online questionnaire on the website eta.gov.lv. This must be done no later than 48 hours before entry
The questionnaire specifies:
🟦 purpose of the trip
🟦 duration of stay
🟦 route and place of residence
🟦 contact information
🟦 information about military service, special services or government positions (your own or your relatives’)
The questionnaire can only be submitted in person. After sending, a confirmation is sent to your e-mail – you do not need to wait for additional permits.
❗️ If you do not submit the questionnaire, provide incomplete or false information – you face a fine of up to 2000 euros
✈️ The new rules apply to third-country citizens who do not have a Latvian visa or residence permit. This means that they also apply to Ukrainians under temporary protection or with a residence permit in other EU countries
