Imagine: you’ve got the required number of months at sea. The documents have been submitted. And then suddenly – a refusal.
Reason: some of your service was not counted. Not because you didn’t work, but because errors were found in your service record, or because it wasn’t kept at all.

The reasons are usually the same:
❌ Not keeping a service record
❌ Missing signatures or seals
❌ Incorrect entries
❌ Date errors
Each of these errors is enough to prevent your service from being counted.

Tip 1. Enter voyages immediately
Not “later.” Each voyage includes the date and place of embarkation, the date and place of decommissioning, the position, the ports, the captain’s signature, and the seal. A missed entry is sometimes much more difficult to restore than it seems.

Tip 2. Check before, not after
Service records are not checked when the documents are “just about needed.” Ideally, 3-6 months before submitting your documents. Make sure all signatures and stamps are present, dates match, and other fields are filled in correctly.

Tip 3. Your service record is expiring—get a new one in advance
Don’t lose your contract record because your service record has expired; get a new one in advance, and your entire length of service will be recorded.

✅ We can help:
